About the Design
On March 5, British Soldiers of the 29th Regiment fired on Boston locals, an incident known almost immediately after as the "Bloody Massacre" or "Boston Massacre." On March 12, the Boston Gazette published an article detailing the events of that infamous night and included an image of four coffins (Patrick Carr had not passed away yet), each featuring a skull and crossbones and the victim's initials.
